Job Purpose: Produce and maintain design drawings for Telecommunications, Fabrication, and Industrial Services projects. Supports engineers and designers of all disciplines through a variety of tasks including proposal drawings, red marks, and sketches. GIS information gathering and processing as well as geospatial drawings.
Essential Functions: Uses computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs/drawings. Interact with engineers and designers, field personnel to quickly and accurately revise/correct drawings during design and or build process. Coordinate document distribution with appropriate communication of new and revised prints to customer, job site field offices, and vendors. Gather GPS information to create drawings and process information. Responsible for maintaining an organized file system for production of drawings. Assists in costing jobs as needed.

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be proficient in current release of AutoCAD and/or Microstation, Advanced proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Able to read, understand, and interpret construction blue print drawings. Thorough understanding and efficiency with company drafting standards. Must possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and attention to detail. Must be highly disciplined with excellent organizational skills. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees to present drawings/prints.
Work Experience, Education, Certifications and Licenses: 2+ years of AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience. Minimum of 2 years experience in an Architectural, Engineering and Construction industry. Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting from an accredited college or university and/or equivalent industry experience and training. Hands-on field construction experience preferred. Job requires extensive travel within the domestic US. Must be able to obtain security clearance to be able to work on military installation projects.
Physical Requirements: May be required to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time. Must have good cognitive skills and awareness of work accuracy. Ability to perform low impact physical tasks. Ability to occasionally lifetand/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required to include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus to read drawings, documentation, and to perform computer duties for extended periods of time.
